THANKSGIVING AT THE LAKE

We all spent Thanksgiving on the houseboat this year. It was a blast with lots of fun, fishing and food!

Here is video of Katie's Halloween parade. She is the little pink piggy. Her friend Madison is the tiger. They had so much fun decorating cookies, apples and pumpkins!

Katie and Gordon worked all day yesterday carving pumpkins! I think they did pretty good.

Monkey Suit

Yesterday was a fun day for us. Katie and I dipped strawberries and bananas in chocolate and while they set we painted pumpkins. She is going to be a monkey for Halloween, so we tried on her monkey suit. Apparently it is very relaxing. As soon as it was on she settled down on her pillows to watch tv.

Aunt Mandy brought Katie a lady bug outfit for her birthday. As you can see it is super cute.

MANY TALENTS OF KATIE

Today we went swimming in the backyard. Katie had a ball jumping, swimming and dancing!

DADDY! STUCK!

Those were the words that greeted Gordon this morning when he went to get Katie. She was standing in the corner of her bed with her leg through the slats. Sure enough, her leg was stuck in the slats and would not budge. We tried butter and PAM. I got in bed with her and turned her every way I could. Finally we had no choice. Gordon got out the saw and freed Katie. She sat down and said "Better!" Here is photographic evidence of her rough morning!

We also went to the Children's Museum in Midland with Katie's friend Madison. They had a blast running around and found time for a quick picture.

Ok, so its been a while since our last post. We have been so busy this summer, but have had so much fun. Our nieces Olivia and Jenna came down for a visit and the girls all bought Dallas Cowboy jerseys. Katie had fun in her "pink shirt" like the big girls.

READY TO RIDE

Ok so here is the story behind these pictures. Mandy and Jeff Bought Katie a tricycle for Christmas but she hasn't been big enough for it, and I can't push her around on it. When we got it out this weekend, she woudn't get on until we got her at "hat". I could not figure out what she was saying until Sesame Street came on and Elmo was "riding". He sings a song and rides his tricycle and emphasis is put on his helmet. Gordon said " at least Elmo is good for something!" We went and bought Katie a helmet and she puts it on when she gets on her tricycle. Thank goodness she is smarter than her parents!!!

At The Lake!!

This weekend we went to the lake to celebrate Mandy and Jeff's anniversary. We all stayed on a houseboat with Porky and Pot. There was a water slide on the houseboat and Uncle Jeff took Katie down it. After she caught her breath, we were waiting for her to cry. All we heard was "GO! SLIDE! JAFFIE!" She went down 3 more times!! What a crazy monkey.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

I had the best morning!! Katie and Gordon let me sleep in and they made me breakfast! Gordon outdid himself, he made eggs florentine and sent me flowers. Katie kept saying "Day Mom!!" for "Happy Mother's Day!". I am thankful for them both and for my own Mom!

I'm Lazy

I have been very lazy when it has come to keeping up with our blog. Part of the reason is that Katie has been so much fun lately. Here are some pictures that chronicle our last few weeks. Katie has a strange facination with sunglasses. She wears them all the time and can say "sungasses" . She also loves playing outside with her babies and puts them in the swings and swings them. When she is tired, she sits on the back patio and drinks some juice while relaxing.

Here is Katie and Uncle Moe, hopefully the only time she will be "picked up" by the police.
