Katie turned 3 on August 17th. She had multiple birthday parties, and enjoyed all of them! We were in NY with her cousins the weekend before her birthday, so she was able to celebrate with them. It was great! Nick read to her at breakfast, Zack took her swimming, Frankie helped her hunt for bamboo and Isabella and Lilly shared their Barbies with her. On the day of her actual birthday, we went to Lubbock to see Dora with Madison. Pokey, Clifford, Nana, Aunt May, Amy, Ella, and Baby Coleman met us there. The girls had a blast! Thank you everyone!

There are a couple of things that Katie says and does that make me want to remember them forever, so I decided that the blog is the best place to record them. She uses "L" instead of "W" right now. So she says "Lot about this" instead of "what about this". She mixed up the word "forgot". So she says "I gotfor give my Daddy a hug". She says "lose" instead of "use". So she is always asking if we want to "lose" something of hers. She is fascinated with princesses and princes and queens. All weekend she has worn two tutus and a crown around the house. She loves to be "the cooker-maker" and make us all kind of things. Today she "pinked" or painted with squeeze paints all day. She has decided that she needs a pacifier. This is bad news for us, since she has never used one before. Tonight I went to check on her and she had toys in her bed and the pacifier in her mouth. Who knows where she found it, but she looked adorable.

Summer Fun!

It has been far to long since I posted anything, so this post is going to be long, with pictures and video. We have been busy, spent July 4th with friends and family and had a blast. Katie had so much fun with Porky and Pot and Gampaw Clifford and Nana. She had a blast pushing Clifford in the lake repeatedly with her friend Jack and swimming with Porky, Pot and Nana.

So last night we went out to eat at Mamasita's. They were playing Mexican music and we were sitting right under the speaker. Katie directed us all to play different instruments and then we played along with the "Guacamole Music" as she said!
