After posting the last entry, I realized I had video of Katie and Grandma Mattimoe playing and singing!

Great Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our family. Porky and Pot bought Katie a swing set and she loves it! Sh will be outside with her teeth chattering but doesn't want to come in. Our holiday ended with a trip to Vegas to see Grandma Mattimoe and all of our aunts, uncles and cousins. We enjoyed seeing everyone and Katie liked "playing the piano " on the coffee table while Grandma sang "Alli Balli"

Today we had lunch at Tequila Tony's. Katie loves chile con queso. She dips the same chip in over and over and licks the queso off. Gives new meaning to "double dipping" but is fun to watch.

Too much fun!

I know it's been awhile since my last post. I have been falling down on the job where pictures and video are concerned. This weekend has been so busy. We went to see Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Howard. Katie rode in the golf cart, played with Aunt Dorothy, and checked out the neighbors swing set.

Today Katie helped Gordon study chemistry. They studied hard while rocking out to ipod tunes.

Katie's 1st Birthday!

August 17th was Katie's first birthday. We had a wonderful day with lots of friends and family. She was such a good girl, happy all day long. She loved her cake, didn't make a mess at all, and had so much fun opening her presents! Thanks everyone!!

Pictures!!

Today we had pictures made at Sears. Katie smiled but would not be still. The camara lady had to be fast. Katie kept crawling off of the background and trying to play with a green chair. Finally we put the chair in the pictures.

Learning to swim!

We have been taking swimming lessons at the YMCA. Katie loves the water! She gets excited as soon as we get in. She is usually too busy "talking" to the other kids and laughing at herself to really listen, but we have fun.

Katie got to play with her friend Gavin last night. They had a big night of swimming and riding in their buggy cars!!

Ruidoso in the rain

We all went to Ruidoso with my parents. Katie was not a happy baby unless she was outside!! It rained while we were there and she just stood at the door and cried. Finally Gordon put trash bags on both of them and went out in the rain. She loved it!! We also went to Flyin J ranch for a dinner show and Katie had so much fun with grandma Porky playing in the rocks and dirt!

Crawling all over

Katie's new favorite things are: the grass, climbing in the kitchen drawers when no one is looking, hanging out in the laundry basket!!

Growing fast!

Well, we went to the lake with everyone and had a great time. Katie played in the water and loved it even though she hated her life jacket. Aunt Mandy let her eat a push up from the Swann man and that was a big hit. Katie crawls like lightning and has developed a one foot and one knee crab crawl for the tile. She went to Crossroads church with Sally (her sitter when I work) and the women in the baby room said they had never seen a kid get around quite like she does! We spend alot of time in the backyard in our swimming pool because it is crazy hot here! I will post some pictures of recent events!!

Bumps and bruises

Here is a picture of Katie's bruised forhead. She bumped her head on the table and cried for ten minutes and then was right back under the table.

Busy Busy

Ok, I am a lazy blogger. This month has been so much fun and so busy. We had aunt Mandy and Unlce Moe for one weekend. Uncle Moe held Katie for the first time and aunt Mandy kept her laughing. Katie is now crawling like lightning. She climbs all over the coffee tables, goes from door stoppers to electrical outlets as fast as she can. She also holds her hand to her ear like she's on the phone whenever you say "hellooooo"! Grandma taught her that. We are going to the lake with grandma, grandpa, Uncle Jeffy and Aunt Mandy next week and are soooo excited!!

SHARING WITH ZOIE

This week Tammy from Vegas has been visiting. We have had so much fun. Today Katie ate a teething cracker and decided to share with Zoie. In the end we had to break the biscuit into thirds so that she would not eat after her friend Zoie. One third was for Zoe, one for Barney (who only likes the baby when she has a biscuit) and one for Katie.

This weekend Katie stayed with Porky and Pot all by herself Friday night. Saturday we celebrated Pot's 59th birthday!
